She lived in Eugene, OR for a while, but hails from New Zealand. Her sister has been working for the UN in Haiti. Her sister's husband and three young daughters were in their hotel when the earthquake struck. Her husband saved the life of their 2-yr-old by being a human shield; he was not as lucky. A second daughter also did not make it; a third is still missing.
Please put your powers of prayer into them finding their other daughter. If you have any money to spare, Rachel's sister is taking her surviving daughter (who is injured) to Florida.
